This passage is about a girl named Hazel that her father looses his job In 1931 The Great Depresion the girl loves baseball and wants to go to a game that has a girl pitcher Jackie Mitchel. But they did not have the money, but her neighbor Timmy had 3 tickets one for him one for his mom and one for his dad. Timmies dad lost his job too so they gave the ticket to her. When they got to the game they saw Jackie Mitchel out on the field as the pitcher Babe Ruth was up she striked him out Lou Gehrig was up she striked him out now it showed people girls are just as good at playing baseball as guys are.
